Emer MacDermott is based in Co. Galway, Ireland, where she lives with her two teenagers.

 

She is just completing her Honours Degree in Contemporary Art and Design at GMIT.

Her work is concerned with Social and Political issues. She tends to draw on the collaboration of local groups to complete her art projects. She often engages with communities in historical and educational works.
